In that instant, Hoffman is "unleashed", revealed to Rigg as Jigsaw's accomplice and before his stunned gaze,. He then heads to another room where Jigsaw, Jeff, Amanda and Lynn are dead since the Room is in the same refrigerator as Jigsaw's lair. Hoffman, seeing that he has killed Jeff, leaves him locked there too, but Hoffman enters a corridor where he knew Strahm was going to pass through, Hoffman waits for Strahm to try to open the door that was locked, Strahm arrives and Hoffman injects him with drugs, making Strahm unconscious, Hoffman kidnaps him and sends him to the room where the trap was for Strahm, takes away the gun, the flashlight, a knife and the key with which he opened the door of the room where Jeff was, but he does not remove the pen, Hoffman leaves the room and rescues Jeff's daughter and as John said to Jeff in the third movie: "Do you want to get your wife out of here safe and sound?
An ambulance will come in four minutes. Some time later, Jigsaw's body is found and an autopsy is performed. They find a tape that Jigsaw had swallowed before he died and call Hoffman also belonging to the Homicide department. Hoffman listens to the tape, in which Jigsaw informs him that he will not leave without being tested as Amanda was and that the game is just beginning. Following John Kramer's death, Hoffman leaves Rigg bleeding to death and locks Strahm in the dying room where Jigsaw died.
When the authorities arrive, Hoffman leaves the factory, along with Corbett, and leaves it in the hands of the police. He informs a detective that no one survived, but to his surprise, Strahm survived after being put into the glass box trap, which angers Hoffman.
Mark Hoffman is later promoted to lieutenant by the police and begins to be watched by Peter. Strahm discovers from reports and early cheating locations that Hoffman helped Jigsaw early on.
Hoffman had prepared a game in an underground sewer, where only two people survived: Mallick and Brit. Peter pursues Hoffman to his hiding place and so does Agent Erickson but from elsewhere. Erickson finds the room where Hoffman controlled everything with his computers and upon seeing Brit and Mallick, he calls the authorities.
But he also tries to call Peter, but his cell phone was in the same room as it was a Hoffman red herring and he informs authorities that Peter is a suspect. Peter finds a room where there is a glass box the size of a person, along with a tape recorder.
Hoffman appears from behind and is locked in the glass box. The recording tells Strahm that if he doesn't get inside the box everyone will believe that he was Jigsaw's assistant, and that they will never find his body.
Then the door closes the box begins to be hidden in the ground by means of a mechanism and the walls begin to close. Hoffman stayed inside the box on the edge of the floor, while Strahm died from being crushed by the walls. Jigsaw's autopsy happens after these events.
And Hoffman will be put to the test by another accomplice, to make it clear that he is the new Jigsaw. In Saw VI, Hoffman traps an insurer, William, who denied a man's request for financial coverage, resulting in his eventual death. It is later revealed that he played a key role in Jigsaw's death by denying his request for financial coverage, and that it is part of a much larger game in which Jigsaw wants Hoffman to collaborate with Jill.
Unhappy, Hoffman visits Jill and tells her that he will run the game alone, demanding the information she has about those who will participate in the test. Jill gives Hoffman 5 of the 6 envelopes Jigsaw had left her, keeping the last one without telling Hoffman. He discovers that Hoffman is Jigsaw's true apprentice and not Strahm, as Hoffman had tried to implicate. The biggest test comes when a sound technician analyzes the voice on the Seth Baxter tape and discovers that it is Hoffman's voice.
Hoffman then burns the building to cover the evidence. A flashback explains that Hoffman had discovered that when Cecil robbed Jill's clinic for drugs, he was not acting alone. Amanda, visibly immersed in her addiction and desperate to get high again, pressures Cecil to do it, and he inadvertently causes the abortion of Jill and John's son, Gideon.
In the letter, Hoffman blackmails Amanda into murdering Lynn Denlon, telling her that if she doesn't she will reveal to John about her involvement in Jill's abortion. Amanda's letter says:. You were with Cecil the night Jill lost Gideon. Another failing in the process to become a Jigsaw apprentice is the fact that these people are never truly secure. Hoffman, Logan, Amanda, and Dr. For some reason, though, Jigsaw still placed his apprentices in life-or-death situations and continued to test them.
Logically, their initiation had already been done due to their survival of the traps, so placing them in more games was both unfair and redundant. This has been a pretty big plot hole in the Saw series for a while, as Dr. Gordon was also held prisoner by Jigsaw after he escaped his trap, with Adam dying in the interim, whom Gordon had promised to help. Hoffman then hunted Jill down and killed her with the same trap she administered to him.
Lawrence Gordon Cary Elwes. He was one of the first on screen test subjects of the Saw films. Somehow, offscreen, Kramer then recruits Dr. Gordon to become an apprentice, unbeknownst to Amanda Young or Detective Hoffman.
Why Dr. Gordon goes along with Kramer is never explained in the film. Gordon to kill Hoffman if he ever hurt Jill. Gordon and two other unknown accomplices capture Detective Hoffman and leave him to starve to death in the same room Dr.
Gordon had to saw off his own leg in the first film. After these events, Dr. Gordon and his two accomplices are left to continue to carry out the work of the Jigsaw killer. Instead you probably go into shock and pass out from the pain, then bleed out on the floor never to wake up. Most likely severe tissue damage and extreme blood loss if the jugular vain and carotid artery were damaged. Both of which are located just behind the lower jaw. Bear traps are designed to catch and hold the leg of a bear, not cut it off.
Your leg may be badly bruised, but it should not be severely injured or amputated.
