Love the decor of restaurant and how relaxing the environment. Highly recommend. Good was delicious and the portions were very generous. The service was exceptional and very helpful with our choices. The food was outstanding as usual. The seafood stew was amazing as always.
We enjoyed the Tuscan Keys and Strawberry Belini drinks too. The caramel gelato was a great ending. Service was excellent as always. I highly recommend Melt to everyone. Food was quite expensive and tasted fine, but was not worth the cost. The burrata appetizer was fine, the pasta faglioli was okay but not-traditional, carbonara was good, but the chicken parm was very bland - the chicken and the tomato sauce. We ate everything and it was okay, but not worth the prices by a lot.
Glad we got there early; it fills up fast for lunch. Service was beyond outstanding, so was the food. We arrived early for our reservation, warmly greeted, then promptly seated at a table along the back wall of the main dining room. The space was warmly lighted and handsomely decorated. The staff was attired all in black in keeping with the rich atmosphere. Carmella soon arrived to greet us and inform us of the evenings specialties.
Throughout our visit we found her to be genuinely personable and responsive to our requests. The seafood stew was chock-full of ingredients, all but the shrimp were seriously over cooked and chewy. However the overall flavor with the broth was pleasant. The chocolate dessert was decadent and a perfect way to end a pleasant evening. The food was excellent and the service was not rushed. Great brunch in a beautiful atmosphere. Will be back! Everything was stellar including the romantic ambience, our private booth seating, the delicious food and personal service.
I would not hesitate to return or recommend it to family and friends. Awesome as always. We opted for salads and a pizza for a light dinner. Just delightful! It was our 48th wedding anniversary. Upon arrival the host wished us a happy anniversary and later gave us a very nice complimentary dessert. It was scrumptious! Our server, Day, was delightful and attentive. Our drinks and our meals were terrific.
Melt is unique in the Lehigh Valley. The food and service was great!! Would definitely recommend for a cute brunch with friends!
Great dining experience. We were out with friends and we had a great time. The cocktails were fun and delicious, the food sooo yummy!!! We had been many years ago and loved it. So glad to see it is still all that we remembered. Kevin was our server and he was amazing, as always! Took 30 minutes to get bread, appetizers came a minute later. Served stale crostini with apps and entrees were poorly prepared and didnt match menu description.

Never mind that it had taken Chipotle three times as long to hit that milestone using the same model. Kaplan felt confident in his melted-cheese rocket ship. Far from stores, it now runs a grand total of 18 outlets. Falling short of its restaurant goal hardly qualifies The Melt as a flop.
When The Melt opened its first restaurant in the summer of , its offerings were comfort food to the core. A minimalist menu of five soup-and-sandwich combinations included the Classic cheddar on potato bread with tomato soup and, on the more exotic end, the Wild Thing gruyere on white wheat bread with mushroom soup.
An online ordering system let customers skip lines by buying their meals in advance. Scanners allowed diners to swipe a QR code and activate those orders without ever speaking to a human. Thanks to software and hardware that regulated humidity, heat, and air circulation in these mobile units, The Melt could cater offsite without sacrificing food quality. In short, like many entrepreneurs, Kaplan harnessed software and hardware to tackle the critical problem of his own satisfaction.
Kaplan himself noted that his lack of experience with video recorders had proved an asset when creating the Flip cam; logically, the sentiment applied to his new business. Some said the second sandwich lacked a soul. Many Melt outlets were chaos at lunchtime and crickets at night. At first, The Melt tried to boost business by launching a breakfast menu in Two years later, breakfast was out, and The Melt tried again with another menu, featuring burgers and other hearty fare.
It stuck. But the menu overhauls proved challenging. Ditto for burgers: As several ex-Melt employees told me, the push into meat required remodeling stores to accommodate new equipment, retraining crews to handle new processes, sourcing different ingredients, and, in some cases, closing and moving existing stores.
Some food courts have rules in place to ensure tenants do not compete in the range of foods they sell. Amid these changes, former employees describe growing pains.
