Cons Leadership. This job is not for the weak. When I was there involved cold calling , door knocking , and in house presentation. It costs money to start and to use your own car and gas. It is comission only so absolutely no money would be earned in the first several months to a year.
I never saw any earnings. Cons No money. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. Upper management only cares about themselves, they lie and manipulate every one below them.
Scum bags. Pros Trips for top earners. Cons The turn over rate is insane. They churn people. Your experience matters. Help out others considering your employer. Rate your employer. Unprofessional workplace. Managers tell you what you want to hear to get you hired. Make you believe that you are doing the right thing by deceiving senior citizens out of their money. Drinking on job is encouraged.
No work or home life balance. Cold calling to set your appointments for the week if you're lucky to even get them to maybe make a sale. Most if not all of the money you make gets taken back when customers cancel their policies. Most days working here feel like a waste of time and money. Can be a good job if you are willing to lie to seniors and love working for little to no money in return.
Pros none. Yes There are 4 helpful reviews 4 No. Commision only.. My experience at bankers life was an eye-opener to say the least.
It was my first sales job and was commission only. We were lucky to get leads a day then were expected to cold call for hours. If we didn't have appointments in the afternoon we were expected to door knock. I enjoy my position as I am able to help multiple people throughout my day.
Nothing is ever the same and is never boring. I love that I can develop new skills and be able to help others grow. Pros Continuous Training. Cons No OT available. Really like working here. Great environment, tough work. If you don't have drive and a bulletproof mentality, you will not succeed. Be prepared to work hours a week sometimes, but it's worth it in the end. No work, home life balance.
Employees are expected to work minimum 6 days a week, 7 if it is enrollment time. Employees are expected to make appts. When I started, you are expected to make calls a day to prospects who have already been called "numerous" times. Turnover in the office is the worst I have ever seen, people quite after 1 day. This was not the place for me and hundreds of others before me. When management called me a derogatory name, I started looking for another position. Pros Income potential.
